This video is another good example of the intolerance of the liberal/progressive mindset, and the clash that is going on between that culture and the Traditional American culture. The appropriate response to this situation by the moderator would have been to measure the crowd at that point in an attempt to recognize if this was an isolated request, or if the majority of the attendees were interested in reciting The Pledge of Allegiance.
It could have been as simple as asking the crowd for a show of hands. Once it was determined that the crowd agreed with the request she could have easily agreed to it, maybe even stating that it is not protocol but since this is what the people attending, THE VOTERS!, wanted, she would allow it. That’s it, that simple. Accommodate one minor request, allow for the display of an act of patriotism and dedication to America.
Instead, she shows her complete inability to take anyone or anything into consideration that does not fall in line with her position. In a word she was completely INTOLERANT. This is the liberal/progressive mindset. There are two elements in play here. First, LP’s are control freaks. It’s that simple, you will do what they want, when they want and how they want and any dissention is met with stiff resistance, name calling, shaming, belittling, all the usual liberal responses to anything outside of their narrow minded ideological mindset. Second, it did not conform to her ideological mindset, therefore would not be allowed.
Therein lies the intolerance. Liberals easily give themselves away as soon as they are confronted with these types of traditionally American symbols. They hate this stuff! They do not pledge their allegiance to America, and they are doing everything in their power to eliminate every aspect of traditional American values whenever and wherever so that some day they won’t have to ever contend with anyone that has an opinion or position outside of their liberal/progressive ideology.
