As the article at the link below illustrates, the heart of the culture battle lies in the public education system. Liberal/progressive culture values are influencing this nations children daily, and often times without the knowledge of trusting parents.

Traditional culture values stress the importance of the parent's role in the development of their children. It is up to them to teach morals and values, not the public education system as is increasingly happening. The liberal/progressive argument is that some parents simply do not do the job needed to give children the tools they need as they become adults. This is yet another example of how the l/p establishment uses the exception to create the rule. Yes, some parents may not, however it is a violation of parental rights to impose standards on ALL children as a result of the problems or deficiencies of the few.
The end result of course is what the l/p establishment is after, the exception argument is just the front they use to attempt to justify their destructive actions. The l/p establishment is focused on breaking down the strength and unity of the family unit, hoping to force greater reliance of all individuals on the government, thereby assuring the l/p establishment of more and more control. This is not about what is best for the children, if that were the case the traditional culture value would rule the day. This is about the further breakdown of traditional culture for the sake of power and control.
Parents of school aged children need to get involved proactively. Attend meetings, research course content, read course descriptions and textbooks in all classes. The l/p establishment is very good at hiding their radical ideology in the strangest of places. Places that most would not think to look, say a harmless elective art class. I have first-hand experience with this one. Be vigilant, be involved, be vocal. This destructive cultural influence will not change any other way.
Think for a moment the battles waged in Texas this year over the content of textbooks for the next 10 years. School board members have caught on to what has been happening with this creeping liberalism and this year conservative board members outnumbered liberal members 10 to 5. As a result school textbooks have been better balanced, but it was not without a knock down drag out fight. The liberal establishment yelled and screamed bloody murder, accusing the conservative wing of the board of doing EXACTLY what they have been doing the last 40 years - that is , rewriting history and manipulating facts aimed toward their radical liberal ideology. The conservatives did not back down, and progress has been made. This is only round one and these types of battles need to be fought in every school district across this country.
Until sanity has been restored in our public education system, and the liberal/progressive ideology has been purged, Americans cannot trust school educators and administrators with their children. Parental involvement is required, your children's future worldview depends on it.

Rick this is exactly why I am going back to college to become a history teacher. I want to preserve our history and government and teach it to future generations the way we were brought up in school. Not the way it is being, or should I say not being taught now. I want the constitution to be brought back to life and our founding fathers to be brought back to life for future generations to get to know. I want them to know the true history of how this nation was formed, and why it was formed. What makes it so great, and why it is still THE GREATEST NATION to live in.
